Good afternoon ladies,
Kara and I are working on a collection of Informational texts to use in English III during the 3rd nine weeks to teach reading skills and strategies, vocabulary, and a variety of other language standards. Are there any specific topics from Chemistry that you would like for us to incorporate into our collection? ALSO, is there a set of Vocabulary that you would like for us to also integrate into our informational text unit? If so, send me a list of topics/ vocab and we will try diligently to include an article/ articles into our 3rd nine weeks reading. We thought that we could teach reading skills with core content texts in hopes of helping students feel more comfortable reading any/ every type of text. Of course, we are focusing on ACT- type readings.
Thanks,
Kayla
